really friendly staff, cutest environment ever, great location, and i LOVE the pastries here! spelt blueberry muffin you have my heart. also one of the few places in town that knows how to do espresso drinks well. pricey but you pay for what you get great place to study or meet with a friend. and the breakfast/lunch menu is superb! i just wish they were open past 2. also i love the wallpaper in here.
Only had a deep dark roast Canadiana. Very tasty! Service was impeccable, friendly and courteous. The place itself is a historical looking spot. Even the light shades look original ‘50s. The glass work on entrance and bar is very nostalgic as well.
We stopped in for breakfast. Man, what a place! A quaint, little, community spot where they know your name. We walked in and people sitting, having breakfast smiled at us. They had a simple menu beautifully drawn on a blackboard; fantastic and very healthy options where no one could go wrong. While we were ordering two of the best cappuccinos we ever had, someone accidentally dropped their coffee and the whole place turned to look at what happened. The owners put the man at ease by name and everybody got the sense that they really meant when they said that it was, “OK, not to worry.“ Great location, great ownership, great food, and great atmosphere. We got the lox bagel and green egg o-reno, both were super tasty and the breads were fresh. Non-dairy options for our cold brew. Busy from the sec it opened but service was fast.
A cute little space, crowded and longer wait times during peak hours. The staff is friendly and a good job of letting customers know of the wait time. I ordered the eggo reno , coffee, and oatmeal cookie... all them were delicious. The cookie portion size is huge.. but not complaining. Will visit again.
I love this place! It's local, very friendly staff, a great place to sit. The coffee is always good and the food is delicious. Only problem is they close early and can get quite busy. I ordered the breakfast sandwich, and you can tell by the picture that it is great. A must visit to anyone going to Halifax.
